George Docking was the 35th Governor of Kansas. He was the first member of the Democratic Party to serve more than a single term as governor in Kansas. His Son, Robert Docking also served as Kansas Governor for four terms from 1967 to 1975.

It is interesting to note that his governor Records were destroyed.
President John F. Kennedy appointed Docking director of the Export-Import Bank in Washington, D. C. The 59-year-old former Kansas governor died at home in Kansas City, Kansas, while holding that position on January 20, 1964.
